Artist’s Statement#

Everyday Traveling With You is a musical sketch of intimacy in motion. Built from soft piano and a gently percussive organ, the piece drifts between just two harmonic poles – F Major and B Flat Major – creating a world that feels both grounded and quietly wondrous. In the meantime, the title invites a double reading: a literal journey shared with a loved one, or the subtle, daily act of moving through life alongside someone side-by-side in rhythm, even in silence. The music begins slowly, as if stepping into a imagined landscape. It then quickens into a playful, sweet allegro where the organ’s rhythmic pulse carries a sense of joyful wandering. Though the midsection is rich with small surprises, the harmony never strays far from its two anchor chords. Finally, the tempo retreats, and the piece concludes with a soft, resolute fade, a return home, changed but calm.

Antoine Liu is a poet, painter, photographer, and composer, as well as an undergraduate student at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
