Tetiana Yatsechko-Blazhenko
Architecture of a Dream

Artist’s Statement
This work combines my photograph of Gdańsk with fragments of my own painting. By layering painterly textures over the cityscape, the image transforms the familiar architecture into an abstract space where memory and imagination reshape the urban landscape.
Urban Aura

Artist’s Statement
This work is based on my photograph of Gdańsk, a city where history, water, and architecture continuously interact with the changing sky. I was drawn to the quiet moment of sunset over the river, when the city appears calm and grounded.
Over this photographic foundation, I introduced expressive abstract gestures that move through the sky like currents of energy. These marks disrupt the realism of the scene and transform the familiar cityscape into something more emotional and dreamlike. The swirling forms suggest movement, memory, and the invisible forces that shape how we experience a place.
