Artist’s Statement#

These five tracks were written, recorded, and mixed over six months. They have different moods and feelings, with the liveliest one, Fast Train, being the easiest one to create and record. I played all the instruments with keyboards, acoustic, electric and lap steel guitars, and bass and drum machines featuring heavily. The more atmospheric titles, such as Blackwell’s Island, Catherine Wheels, and Fairgrounds in Winter, really only came into life and focus at the final mixing stage, where harmony guitar parts were all mixed to give a surrounding sonic experience for the listener. I enjoyed creating and recording all of this music, and I hope that the listener enjoys it as well.
