The song explores the estrangement between myself and the other. If I carry the other’s pain, will the wall disappear between the two of us?
I’ve always felt I was struggling to communicate properly what I was feeling. It seemed so complex and paradoxical that I intuitively developed artistic ways to express myself. In my music, all the details that might be considered imperfections are precious little things conveying honesty and realness. As an example, the loud piano is rivaling the melancholic singing, giving some hints of anger, while the reflective lyrics are underlining the feeling of doubt. Life is a bouquet of emotions of tempos, and my work is to bring to light those nuances.

Elléonne Reyntjens is a multidisciplinary artist working across music, photography, collage, painting, and film. Self-taught and deeply introspective, her work explores the limits of communication and the emotional spaces that exist beyond words. Also known as Marie-Noëlle Reyntjens or marie-noëlle Of The Record, she extends a rich background in music, languages, and journalism into her art, blending disciplines to create poetic, often collaborative pieces. Her work has been featured internationally in residencies, exhibitions, and publications, and her films and music have received recognition across Europe and North America. She is also a core member of the art collective totallyrealprobablynotfake.
