Artist’s Statement#

One Day is part of a larger series of horses I created in the Spring of 2025, exploring themes of mortality, failure, forgetting, and the circle of life. This horse was the third created in the series, but one of the striking final pieces in its arrangement. Is this horse still alive? Is it dead? Are the wings a positive or negative asset?
