Artist’s Statement

I create art to capture the raw, unfiltered essence of life in all its beauty, chaos, and contradictions. Born and raised in South Florida, a place defined by its vibrant polarities, my work reflects the energy of a world that is both full of life and steeped in complexity. Without formal art training, my approach is entirely instinctual. For me, art isn’t about following rules - it’s about unlearning them to create something that feels alive.

Collage is my chosen medium because it allows me to build textures and layered worlds from fragments of the everyday. Using magazines as my source material, I pull pieces from the past and present, weaving them together to tell stories of time—moments of joy, grief, nostalgia, and transition. Each piece I create is an explosion of emotion, meant to evoke visceral reactions that range from awe to discomfort.

I welcome all interpretations of my work, whether it inspires joy, provokes thought, or even stirs unease. My goal isn’t to provide answers but to challenge viewers to question what they feel and why. Art, to me, is most powerful when it sparks conversation, when it lingers in the mind, and when it forces us to confront parts of ourselves.

In a world that often asks us to conform, my art exists unapologetically as it is - a reflection of life’s many layers and the emotions we carry through it all.
