Artist’s Statement
September is an instrumental for two basses and a drummer. I played all of the parts, using an old drum kit, and an old Roland drum machine. Both bass parts were played on my Hofner Violin bass, with the more rhythmic parts played through a Boss digital delay pedal. The lead bass was recorded clean. Everything was recorded onto a Zoom 16 track recorder, before being mixed in Audacity.
