This picture is part of a project about love titled G.

Being an intuitive photographer, I like to allow some freedom of interpretation to a picture. When I took this one, I was merely fascinated about the aspect of my lover’s back after a traditional Chinese medicine treatment that involved suction cups and that had transformed her into some kind of a ladybug.

About the Artist #

Simon Beraud’s work revolves around questions that are intrinsic to existing as a human in society, such as questions of identity: roots, borders, love, and memory. Always searching to reveal a sense of intimacy with the subject, his photographs invites the viewer to find resonances with these questions that drive him.
