Editor's Note 12/23

THE WASSAIL BOWL, OR SWIG
Put into a bowl half a pound of Lisbon sugar; pour on it one pint of warm beer; grate a nutmeg and some ginger into it; add four glasses of sherry and five additional pints of beer; stir it well; sweeten it to your taste; let it stand covered up two or three hours, then put three or four slices of bread cut thin and toasted brown into it, and it is fit for use.

Welcome to our twenty-first and December issue!

We’ve had a great year here at Red Ogre Review - aside from six fantastic issues, we’ve published five chapbooks and our second yearly anthology, expanded into offering art prints, made numerous improvements to the site, and trademarked our journal name.

And it’s that time of year when we do our annual fundraising. I’ll keep it short and sweet: we have seven books on Amazon, art prints on ArtPal, and a bunch of fun merch on Etsy.

If you’d like to make a direct donation, please use our Flipcause page. The lion’s share of donations will be used to fund our 2024 chapbook series. Every donation counts!

With that, we present poetry by:
